Engagement sessions are half price when you book a wedding collection with me! I encourage couples to book a session to allow us to get to know one another better! We spending one of the most important days of your life together, after all, so we should probably get cozy.

In the months leading up to the wedding, I’ll send you a detailed questionnaire to gather everything from which family photos you’d like taken, even down to any sticky family situations that you might just want me to be aware of. l'll craft a custom timeline so you where to be and when, so the day flows effortlessly and you can focus on what matters - each other!
pre-wedding
You will receive a sneak peek of your images within 1 week of your big day, and your full gallery within 12 weeks of the wedding day. Print and album options are available to make sure your day is displayed in your home and not just behind your phone screen. You'll be left with breathtaking photos of your favorite day, and memories of an experience that are a breath of fresh air.

The Process
I first hand wedding planning is, let alone during 2020, LET ALONE during a PANDEMIC.
I've been working to coordinate with couples to reschedule their weddings, waiving reschedule fees and expanding my team to be able to offer increased coverage and ensuring the 5-star Cassandra Daye Photography experience, no matter what happens.

What ABOUT COVID-19?
Sure do! I’m based out of New York and Florida, but in the past year or so, I’ve traveled to Ireland, Mexico, Canada, Palm Springs & Joshua Tree California, New Orleans, Jamaica, Nashville, Bermuda, Colorado, (wow, that’s a lot of sky miles!) and all over the Northeast. I’m looking forward to visiting Morocco and heading back to Europe as soon as it's safe to do so. That being said, I’m always down to travel for weddings, elopements, and engagement/couples sessions so reach out and let’s chat!

Do you travel?
I include engagement sessions or “the hangout” in all of my packages as part of my process and experience with all of my wedding collections. I use them as an opportunity to break the ice and get to know each other. Consider it a practice run for the wedding!
We’ll meet up and hang out, grab an adult beverage of your choice to ease any nerves before we even start shooting. It really helps facilitate a relationship between us, so come wedding day you two are totally comfortable with me, and it’s like an old friend coming in to take photos rather than a stranger from the internet.
What’s the deal with the engagement session?
Beyond the experience, engagement photos are also an opportunity for professional photos of the two of you at a really wonderful time in your life. Most of my clients have never had professional photos taken as a couple, and I love being able to document their everyday lives. Let’s go hiking, or out on the lake or to a brewery, or even get cozy at home and capture something you guys love to do together on a typical day. In 20 years it will be nice to have some photos together other than selfies on Facebook, so consider it a little gift from me to you. I’m always happy to travel for these, and I can offer location suggestions and wardrobe tips to get you photos you’ll love!
What’s the deal with the engagement session? (Cont.)
Yup! I carry both liability insurance and worker’s comp insurance. If you need a certicate of insurance for your venue, just let me know. I also carry back-up camera bodies and lenses, should I need them. Myself and my associate photographers also use cameras that write to 2 camera cards and backup my photos as soon as I leave your wedding or session to ensure that your images are as safe as possible.
Do you have insurance?
I shoot weddings and sessions all over the U.S. and beyond, so it’s likely I have not shot at your venue and logistically we may not be able to have a walk-through prior to your wedding. However I pride myself in bringing a new perspective to every venue I shoot at, rather than a cookie cutter version of every other wedding that was shot there. I will, however, arrive early on the day of or the night prior to your wedding to scope the location and acclimate myself to the grounds and the staff to come up with a plan before I even see you on the wedding day, so you get the best photos with optimal light on the big day.
