I’ve always been a fan of formal affairs that aren’t too stuffy, and this modern yet classic styled wedding at La Casa Toscana, in Fort Meyers, Florida is exactly that. La Casa Toscana was lit up with golden hour light, creating an incredible backdrop for this shoot and giving a nod to it’s Tuscan inspired roots and maybe a little Romeo and Juliet vibes. Definitely some fresh photos with the BOMB lighting that day!
The ceremony space at La Casa Toscana was complete with tuscan styled cross-back chairs and organic sprawling greenery, a perfect spot for an intimate wedding ceremony.
I loved how the florist incorporated a small pop of blue into the floral decor and bouquet, with classic elements blended with tuscan inspiration, creating a timeless look. Both natural, yet colorful, the tablescape and reception area under swaths of white linen gave the rich decor a whimsical fairy tale vibe.
The property itself at La Casa Toscana has countless gorgeous photo ops, from the Italian pillars on it’s ceremony space, to the Mediterranean tiles roof, to the weeping trees that spread across the sprawling property, there are endless gorgeous locations to create beautiful wedding portraits and feel like you’re transported to Tuscany.
What says whimsical more so than a swing? The natural rope swing at La Casa Toscana sets right in front of the pond and ceremony arbor, bringing a lightness and natural element to such a chic setting.
The gardens and archways of the La Casa Toscana Property are a photographers dream, with the light coming down in just the right places to create the most stunning wedding portraits. The architectural elements across La Toscana, combined with the Florida wildlife definitely gives off classic Italian Vibes. And the part of me that loves some Vogue style shots was legit screaming internally. Seriously still swooning over the light and these bridal shots!
My favorite part of this shoot was the chemistry between the Kathrn & Christian , proving that black tie doesn’t necessarily mean stiff. The sparks were definitely flying all day, and while their classic meets fairy tale attire gave us all the old school Prince and Princess vibes, it was their obvious attraction that really made this one straight magic.
Hidden in the back of La Casa Toscana is a gorgeous tree that acts as cover to a chandelier covered dance floor. I can’t think of a better place for your first wedding dance, or to dance the night away with your wedding guests.
We definitely made use of all parts of the property at La Casa Toscana, and everywhere you turned there was something even more beautiful to photograph. When planning your wedding, considering a venue with lots of locations on site for photos is so important. Being able to move quickly from place to place without much travel time allows for a much more relaxed wedding timeline, which means more time for you to actually enjoy your actual wedding!
I will not be getting over the Romeo and Juliet vibes of this wedding anytime soon, and I highly recommend to my Fort Myers & Florida brides and grooms to check out La Casa Toscana if they’re looking for a wedding venue full of whimsy & romance!
