Being a wedding photographer in Upstate NY, falling in love with the Catskills is an obvious choice, but Foxfire Mountain House was love at first sight for me. And even better, this styled wedding inspo may be one of my favorite designs I’ve ever had the privilege of shooting, all thanks to the Spell Society. They pulled off a gorgeous design that perfectly wedded (no pun intended) the deep reds of our bride Emma’s hair, and the natural elements that make Foxfire Mountain House so magically wonderful.
Foxfire Mountain House is one of my favorite Upstate New York venues, nestled in the Heart of the Catskills Mountains, the perfect place to getaway from New York City, and a gorgeous place for a weekend wedding for you and all of your loved ones.
Spell Society knocked this one out of the park with their warm reds, orange and pink inspired details and florals, and couples with Emma, Connor and the amazing team behind this moody, mystical, and whimsical Catskills wedding shoot, it really was a dream come true. It’s always a pleasure photographing North Country Vintage rental’s collection of wedding and lounge furniture. They nailed this look and pulled it all together with a lounge on the lawn of Foxfire Mountain House. Their new orange velvet sofa is the perfect spot for two lovers or a group of wedding guests, relaxing with a beverage during cocktail hour.
There were no shortage of details this day, with floral inspired touches everywhere you looked. From Emma’s Rue De Seine gown and matching floral veil, to the repurposed floral wall backdrop and tablescape, no expense was spared on this absolutely dreamy floral design.
What’s Upstate New York without it’s thousands of lakes and a romantic boat ride. Foxfire Mountain House offers exactly this, made even better by filling it’s onsite canoe with cascading roses that makes even “The Notebook” look unromantic. I mean COME ON! We spent extra time enjoying the water and create magical portraits for Emma and Connor.
It’s safe to say that this wedding inspo is what dreams are made of, and I can’t wait to return to the Catskills and to Foxfire Mountain House this year for another epic wedding.
