Whimsical Glynwood Wedding

I can’t believe I haven’t shared this incredible whimsical Glynwood Wedding (in Cold Spring, New York) editorial that was featured in Green Wedding Shoes last year! So here it comes!

One of my favorite things about planning styled editorial shoots is inspiring couples to think outside the box when it comes to wedding photography, design and planning, especially in places that are near and dear to my own hometown. Bringing new and fresh ideas to local couples feels so good, and teaming up with a talented crew of vendors is my favorite way to do this.

First, the venue- Glynwood Farm in Cold Spring, NY!

This magical wedding venue one of my favorite wedding venues, EVER!, but it’s a short drive from my home. Just north of NYC, located near Westchester, New York in the Hudson Valley, Glynwood is an idyllic farm wedding venue with countless photo opps. From the greenery covered stone buildings, to the live animals in the rolling hills, Glynwood Weddings are beyond beautiful on their own. But bring in a magical team of wedding vendors, and forget it!

I teamed up with some of my all-time favorites on this one, including Wild Flower Event Design – who dreamed up this incredible palette and design- a gorgeous burst of color in an already magical spot in Cold Spring. Paired with over the top, saturated flowers from Olive + June Floral Co. (and that dried flower crown, stop it!), and a glam team consisting of hair and MUA by the Hair Wizard of Oz himself, Osman Salman, and the fresh and flirty Emmy Mae gown from Everthine Bridal, the whole vibe was beyond.

I could talk all day about this editorial featuring this whimsical Glynwood Wedding in but I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.

Our Bride, Amanda was stunning enough on her own, but the golden glow of golden hour on the farm lit her up as much as her groom, Jean, does. Oz did a fantastic job of creating that perfect summer glow, and Olive and June’s floral corn was the perfect wedding accessory.

The grounds of Glynwood are vast and rolling, and have endless spots for events of wedding photography locations.

We chose to have the ceremony on the ground’s farmhouse. A beautiful, casual vibe that was perfect for a later summer wedding! Loved this floral installation Olive and June Floral Co. created for the ceremony alter, which seemed to grow right out of this historic home at Glynwood.

Our final stop for the evening was Glynwood’s very own boathouse. You don’t have to travel beyond the grounds in Cold Spring to find magic at every turn. The boathouse is one of my favorite spots and Wild Flower Event Design pullout all the stops on this wedding reception design. The Glynwood boathouse can be used for rehearsal dinners, post-wedding brunches or other events, but I love the magical touch Wild Flower Events Design brought to this intimate dinner setup. A knockout stunner for sure, this design, this couples, this team, will be one I’ll not soon forget!

HUGE shoutout to this amazing vendor team who brought it all to life!
